Fully Equipped Facilities for Efficient Organic Synthesis & Medicinal Chemistry

CanAm Bioresearch chemists are all equipped with their own fumehood and bench, stirring/hot plates, rotavapor, and glassware to gain productivity. They are also equipped with their own computer in order to make routine tasks like writing reports, researching technical information (access to SciFinder and many journal publishers), sourcing chemicals (raw material, reagents), analysing data, and communication with the client more efficient.

CanAm research facility is fully equipped with all on-site instruments for efficient organic synthesis and analysis:

  • Microwave reactor (Anton Paar Monowave 400)

  • Hydrogenation apparatus

  • Vacuum-drying oven

  • Freeze-dryer

  • Flash chromatography purification systems (Biotage Selekt and Buchi Reveleris)

  • Bruker 300 MHz multinuclear NMR spectrometer (1H, 13C, 19F, 31P) with 2D-experiment capabilities, with recently updated new console

  • Analytical HPLCs for routine purity analysis

  • Analytical HPLC with optional chiral columns for enantiomeric purity analysis of organic compounds

  • Semi-preparative HPLCs

  • LC-MS/MS units for routine mass analysis of organic reaction/product, quantification and structural analysis, and specific ADME analysis
